Melatonin inhibits serotonin transporter activity in intestinal epithelial cells
This study shows, for the first time, that melatonin modulates SERT activity, thus demonstrating the feedback system between melatonin and the serotoninergic system in the gastrointestinal tract. (Source: Journal of Pineal Research)
